Who is Nicky Campbell?
Nicky Campbell is a TV and radio presenter from Scotland. He was born on 10 April 1961 in Edinburgh and currently lives in London with his wife, Tina Ritchie and their four daughters.
After gaining a degree in history from Aberdeen University, Nicky entered the world of journalism as jingle writer for Northsound Radio.
Later, Campbell graduated from the show’s jingle writer to the show’s presenter, before getting his big break as a London Capital radio presenter in 1986.
The following year, Campbell hosted a variety of slots for Radio 1 before settling on BBC Radio 5 live in October 1997.
Since then he has hosted popular British shows such as Top Of The Pops, Wheel Of Fortune, Now You’re Talking, Panorama and Watchdog.
Campbell now co-presents Radio 5’s Breakfast Show With Shelagh Fogarty.
Does Nicky Campbell drive?
In an interview with the Daily Express, Campbell was asked what he drives, to which he responded: “a silver car, but I can’t even remember what it is. I have no interest in cars.”
It would appear that Campbell does drive but has absolutely no interest in cars. In May of 2020, he posted a Twitter video of his wife confronting thieves, who were stripping his car of parts in the middle of the day.
